Recent Travels

At the end of July, we spent a little over a week visiting with our family on Vancouver Island–in particular, this little munchkin:


There is no sewing in this post, just a few photographs!

We stayed near Nanaimo, right along one of the beaches:



The place was very pretty, and we got some spectacular views, like this moonrise over the hills:



Since we were on an island, we needed to travel by ferry to get there, which is always an adventure in itself.



The ferry trip can be very windy.




This may be the only trip I've taken in a while where I didn't end up buying yarn or fabric. That has got to be a first! Can't say I didn't go into a yarn shop, though. :D
